Usher Ministry
MISSION
Our mission as the Ushers at Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church is to serve together to demonstrate GOD’s commission to us, to prayerfully promote an atmosphere where all those entering the church will feel welcomed, to meet the needs of the Pastor and congregation during service, and to keep distractions to a minimum.
VISION
The Usher Ministry’s Vision is to collectively work as a team, creating a warm and welcomed environment for members and visitors of Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church by providing assistance to other ministries through supporting the overall mission and accomplishment of the Church.
Purpose Statement
As doorkeepers, the ushers are committed to ushering, helping, and serving in a friendly manner to encourage an atmosphere of worship with decency, and in order, to the Glory of God.
Description of Ministry
The Ushers are committed and willing to serve everyone that enters the sanctuary. We welcome our members and guests to an atmosphere of worship to the glory of God.
GOALS
- Increase membership and participation
- Attend scheduled monthly meetings and training sessions.
- Provide assistance to other ministries at church functions.
- Travel with the Pastor.
- Strive to serve more than last year.
